Accepted students participate in six months of education, counseling, life skills, and work-therapy. It is during this phase that students are matched with a staff counselor and work through our Bible-based recovery and relapse prevention curriculum. Life Skills and work-therapy are proven ways for those in recovery to build confidence and learn critical life skills as they prepare to return to the work world
The students attend two classes per day that include a Bible study and an addiction recovery group class, both taught by Mission staff. During this time, they also create new healthy relationships by connecting with their community mentor and the local church they have chosen to attend. It is also during this phase that the Mission helps the student resolve outstanding legal issues they may have.
